Court Blotter: Recent County Indictments

Grand juries handed up the following indictments


• John L. Lazaro is accused of damaging the property of two Toms River-based companies on July 11. Lazaro damaged items belonging to Advantage Sitework Construction as well as Sica Industries, with both incidents resulting in more than $500 in damages, the indictement states.
Lazaro was released on his own recognizance.


• Richard J. Kessler of Beachwood on charges of stealing a woman's debit card.
Authorities allege Kessler stole a Wells Fargo Visa debit card in Toms River which he then used from Aug. 22 to Aug. 30.
Kessler was indicted on charges of theft by deception, fraudulent use of a credit card and credit card theft. He was released on a summons.


• Kevin T. Scott of Bayville on charges of possessing drugs and destroying evidence. Scott is accused of possessing oxycodone May 6 in Toms River. Grand juries also upheld a charge of possession with intent to distribute for allegedly having less than one ounce of marijuana. Finally, authorities charge Scott with knowingly tampering with evidence to evade detection.
He was released on his own recognizance.

• Taylor M. Gandino of Freehold on charges accusing him of forging a prescription in order to obtain oxycodone. Gandino allegedly presented a phony prescription blank Jan. 31 at Walgreens Pharmacy in Toms River, the indictment states. He was released on a summons.
