A fire that engulfed a 1995 Jeep on Tuesday evening caused traffic tieups and detours but no injuries, Toms River police said.
Officer Scott Duncan responded to the call and found the Jeep, operated by Stafford Township man, fully involved near the intersection of Routes 37 and 166, Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said.
Toms River Fire Companies 1 and 2 extinguished the fire. Traffic was detoured through around the intersection while the fire was put out.

There were no injuries, Mastronardy said.
