Lakehurst Road Lane Change for Pole Work

are directing slowed traffic on Lakehurst Road between Sutton and Oliver streets as crews repair a utility pole on the northbound side of the county road.

The northbound traffic is detoured into the south bound lanes, and southbound traffic is riding on the shoulder as the crews repair a pole leaning off the road.

Traffic cones are in the area and traffic signs are alerting drivers coming from Route 37 down Route 527, also known as Lakehurst Road, of the traffic issue.

Utility crews are working in the northbound lanes of Route 527, with a new utility pole trucked in to replace the current one.

Traffic remained slow through noon as the project began earlier this morning.
