Burglars Hit Lester Glenn Auto Dealerships

Incident occurred on Sunday night, police chief says

Toms River Police are investigating the recent burglary of the Lester Glenn Buick/GMC and Lester Glenn auto dealerships on Route 37, Police Chief Michael G. Mastronardy said.

Police have determined that the suspect or suspects gained entry by smashing a front window at Lester Glenn Buick then prying open a safe after 9 p.m. on Sunday night, the chief said.

Approximately $900 was discovered missing, Mastronardy said.

Officers Graham Borg and Chris McDowell, along with officers from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department are investigating, he said.
