Local Police Looking For Answers in Bayshore Drive Break-In

Burglary suspect escaped with $6,000 in jewelry and a digital camera, say police

A burglary which occurred on Bayshore Drive Friday has local authorities on the trail of the perpetrator, according to Toms River Township Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

“According to witnesses, a black male about 40 years old, with a bald head and wearing a long-sleeve red dress shirt was observed running from the residence at about 11 a.m. The suspect broke a rear kitchen window to gain entry into the residence, and removed over $6,000 in jewelry and a Nikon D90 digital camera,” said the chief.

A subsequent investigation by Officer Joshua Kuhlwein has determined that the suspect fled the scene in a tan Lincoln automobile. Anyone with information on this crime is encouraged to contact Detective John Turner of the Toms River Township Police Department, at 732-349-0150, ext. 1264.
