Locals Indicted on Heroin, Pill Charges

Ocean grand jury indicts three women on drug charges from incidents in town

Three locals, including one Toms River resident, are facing heroin and prescription drug charges stemming from incidents in town, according to an indictment handed up last week by an Ocean County grand jury.

  • Bernice Alvarado, 29, of Kettle Creek Road, Toms River, for trying to get Roxicodone by fraud May 22 in Toms River.
  • Ashley M. Cornelius, 20, of Hilltop Court, Lanoka Harbor, for having heroin and planning to distribute it on Dec. 14 in Toms River and having the drug again on Feb. 23.
  • Dawn M. Sansone, 33, of Forked River, for having heroin April 4 in Toms River.
