Man Arrested In Early Morning Burglary On Tennyson Avenue

Neighbor called police to report incident

A Toms River man was arrested and charged with attempted burglary, trespassing and criminal mischief in an incident at a house on Tennyson Avenue.

A resident contacted Toms River Police at 3:30 a.m. Sunday to report a burglary in progress at a residence on Tennyson Avenue.

 A shed of a vacant home was entered and a propeller removed from a shed. The propeller was used to break the glass on a rear door to the residence, according to police.

After searching the area, police located and arrested Mathew Farrington, 48, of 6th Avenue, Toms River. Officers Daniel Herr, Adam Koepppen and  K-9 Officer Steve Eubanks and Sergeant Patrick Dellane were the investigating officers.
