Toms River Woman Charged In Ongoing Missing Firearms Probe

An ongoing investigation by Manchester Township Police into the disappearance of firearms from a township home has led to a weapon theft charge for a Toms River woman.

Bonnie A. Fahoury, 51, of Toms River, was charged on March 18 with stealing a firearm from the Weldon Road home of her former roommate, a 51-year-old Manchester resident.

An investigation by Detective Albert Vega, along with Patrolmen David Fusaro and Patrolmen Michael Steffen, found that Fahoury stole at least one firearm from the home between September 2013 and March of this year while residing there with her husband. The firearm then was sold to the Guns and Roses gun shop in Toms River.

The victim notified police on March 16 that multiple weapons were missing from his home. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges will be forthcoming.

In addition to the weapon theft charge, Fahoury was charged with theft of prescription medication and possession of a controlled dangerous substance. Bail for Fahoury was set at $10,000 with no 10 percent option for the drug charges and $20,000 with a 10 percent option for the weapon theft charge.

Fahoury and her husband had been living with the victim for at least a year, but had since moved to Toms River. No charges have been filed against Fahoury’s husband.
