Manchester Man's Trial In Death Of Ocean Gate Cop Slated To Start Tuesday

It's been three and a half years since Ocean Gate Patrolman Jay Marles died in a fiery crash on the Garden State Parkway, early Thanksgiving morning after his car was struck from behind by a drunk driver.

Jury selection for the trial of the man accused of vehicular homicide in the death of the popular officer is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, according to a story in the Asbury Park Press.

it doesnt feel like 3yrs ago. sad story and the guy that hit him whats with his excuse re: Jays jeep? thats ridiculous and sounds like lawyer talk to me.

I feel bad for what happened to Jay, but the lawyer may have a valid point. If you chose to operated a radically modified (lifted) vehicle without proper safety consideration, does that affect the judgment in this case?
