No Injuries In Seward Avenue Garage Fire

Toms River Fire Companies 1 and 2 respond to 4:30 p.m. blaze

A fire broke out in the garage of 131 Seward Avenue in the downtown area of Toms River at 4:32 p.m. Sunday.

No injuries were reported, according to Jeffrey Cirz, Fire Chief of Toms River Fire Company #2.

The fire is under investigation by the Toms River Bureau of Fire Prevention, which is normal policy, according to Cirz.

The command center was run by Chief John Gonzalez of Fire Company #1.

Toms River Fire Station #28 was the FAST Team (Fire Assist and Search Team).
