Ortley Beach Power Outage Along Route 35 Restored
Route 35 experiences short power outage on Friday evening around 7 p.m.
Route 35 areas in Ortley Beach experienced a power outage around 7 p.m. on Friday evening.
Causes of the 'blackout' were unknown to Toms River Police, said Sgt. Dan Sysol of the Toms River Police Department.
Traffic posts were placed along Rt. 35 north and south for the 15 to 20 minute delay. Traffic was slow moving along Rt. 35 but picked up once street lights were back on.

The lights went on by themselves and no immediate causes were found, Sysol said.
