Police Blotter: Laptop Stolen Off Counter

Police reports as released by Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy:

Officer Jennifer Grob is investigating the theft of a Nokia Lumia cell phone and a MacBook laptop computer that was on a counter in the Radio Shack store at the Tri-City Plaza, Routes 9 and 70. 

Apparently two black males were in the store and removed the items that belonged to the clerk, when the clerk was momentarily distracted.  One of the suspects are described as 30 years old, long dreadlocks pulled into a bun, wearing a white tank top, black Adidas pants and white and tan Air Max sneakers.

• On Aug. 23, Officer Robert Westfall investigated a two car crash at Route 35 North and Amberjack Way at 11 p.m. Police arrested 20 year old Nikita Oblonsky of Shohola, Penn. and charged  with for DWI.

Oblonsky was operating a 2010 Mercedes Benz northbound when the vehicle left his lane and struck a 2011 Lexus. Oblonsky’s vehicle then overturned after the initial collision. Linda Brennan, 47, was transported to Jersey Shore hospital as a result of the accident.
