Police Investigating Thefts of Utility Buckets, Woman’s Purse
Toms River authorities on the hunt for perpetrators of commercial, personal thefts
Toms River Township Police officers are currently looking into a pair of weekend thefts, one of a pair of commercial utility buckets on Friday and the other of a woman’s purse from the Ocean County Mall earlier today.
“Officer Witold Paduch is investigating the theft of 2 Bobcat utility buckets from Lee Santos Custom Waterfalls on Route 9. The black buckets, each weighing over 200 lbs., were removed sometime overnight Friday,” said Chief Michael Mastronardy.
Mastronardy also explained that officers are searching for a black female wearing a red dress, approximately 18 years of age, who stole a purse from a 27 year-old Toms River woman’s shopping cart in the Ocean County Mall on Saturday.

“The female took a pink purse that only contained personal papers and ran from the mall,” Mastronardy noted. Officer Mark DeGrandis is investigating the theft.
