Power Outage Along Yellowbank

Small portion of residential area around Oak Glen Road and Yellowbank affected after 10:45 p.m.

Update: Just before 1 a.m., power was restored to the area.

Power remained out along portions of Yellowbank and Oak Glen Roads past 12:30 a.m. while utility crews continued to investigate the problem.

A power outage affecting several dozen homes on Oak Glen, , Lake Placid and Haifa roads began at around 10:45 p.m. in the Georgetown section of Toms River.

Jersey Central Power & Light crews arrived just before midnight, dispensing two ladder trucks to the area to investigate the power outage.

According to JCP&L, the outage in Toms River affects 45 customers.

Details on the cause of the small power outage were not immediately available. Calls placed to Toms River Police and the utility company were not immediately returned.

The Yellowbank Road power outage is the only reported outage on JCP&L's live online power outage map, found here.

On its outage map, JCP&L is  also reporting a scheduled downtime for the area of Leisure Knoll in Manchester on Tuesday, April 17.

JCP&L will perform reliability improvements, and said customers will experience a brief power interruption between 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

The Tuesday interruption in Leisure Knoll is expected to last less than 15 minutes, according to the utility company.
