Search For Toms River Bank Robbers Continues; Photos Released

Robberies occurred within 90 minutes of each other

Toms River Police are still searching for the men who robbed two banks on the same day within 90 minutes.

It is unknown if the two separate robberies, which both occurred Friday evening, are related, according to Chief Mitch Little. Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects through surveillance photos released Monday.

In the first robbery, which occurred at 4:36 p.m., a man gave a note to the teller at the TD Bank branch on Mule Road demanding money, then fled. He is described as a black male in his late 20s to early 30s who was wearing a green jacket with his hood up, along with a wool hat and sunglasses.

The second robbery occurred at the Santander Bank on Route 37. In that robbery, the suspect is described as a white male in his late 20s to early 30s.

Anyone with information on either robbery is being asked to contact Detective Randy Petrick at 732-349-0150, ext. 1235.
