A Bayville man sexually assaulted and endangered a minor in his care, charges an indictment handed up by an Ocean County grand jury in February.
Richard Yhlen, 35, faces two counts of first degree aggravated assault on a minor, having committed "an act of sexual penetration" on a child under age 13 between April and Aug. 31, 2012, the indictment charges.
The 8-year-old child was not identified in the indictment; Yhlen's relationship to the child was not clarified beyond that the man was legally responsible for him or her.
A third charge, second degree endangering the welfare of a child, also was issued to Yhlen. It states that he "knowingly" engaged in sexual conduct with the child who was under his care.
According to the Ocean County Department of Corrections, Yhlen was arrested on Sept. 1, 2012. He remains jailed on $250,000 bail, according to the indictment, with a condition that he has no contact with family or the child should he post bond.

Tyree Richelieu, 20, of Bethlaham, Pa., is accused of resisting arrest "by using or threatening to use physical force or violence" on July 6, 2012. He also "purposely or knowingly" caused bodily injury to borough officer Richard Sasso, the indictment charges.
