Bayville Man Stabbed Saturday in Seaside Heights Has Been Released; Suspect Still At Large

The stabbing followed an argument and took place just before midnight.

A suspect is still at large following a stabbing Saturday night, May 18, at Hemingway's Cafe.

According to Seaside Heights Police Detective Steve Korman, the stabbing was the result of a verbal altercation between two customers at 11:41 p.m. The victim, identified as a 32-year-old male from Bayville, was stabbed in the lower left abdomen and was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

He has since been treated and released.

The suspect fled the scene following the stabbing, and Seaside Heights Police were still searching for him as of 3:30 p.m. Sunday.

Police Chief Thomas Boyd requests that anyone with information on this incident contact the Seaside Heights Police Department at 732-793-1800. The incident is being investigated by Detective Luigi Violante.
