Second Armed Robbery Incident of Pizza Delivery Man

Suspect, armed with knife, made off with $100

A second incident of a pizza delivery man being held up was reported Friday night in Toms River, police said.

At 9 p.m. Friday police responded to a robbery on Periwinkle Street in Silverton. An 18-year-old Toms River man was delivering pizza for a Silverton pizza parlor when he was approached by a white male, six-feet tall wearing dark clothing and a black ski mask, said Michael Mastronardy.

The suspect, armed with a knife, demanded money and took more than $100 cash from the victim. The home the victim was delivering to was vacant and the suspect, after taking the proceeds, fled into the woods.
