Strip Mall on Windsor and Fischer Struck by Vehicle

A plaza on the corner of Windsor Avenue and Fischer Boulevard was struck by a vehicle this evening, shattering a window in a collision that dislodged some of the brick work.

Police and fire personnel were reportedly on the scene at the plaza at 600 Fischer Boulevard at 5:20 p.m. today, but the building was not evacuated, said one customer at the plaza’s Chinese restaurant.

The plaza also contains a florist and a dress shop, a convenience store and pizzeria on the busy corridor in the East Dover section of Toms River.

The incident is currently under investigation and no further details are available at this time.
