Suspect Breaks into Fischer Dunkin Donuts From Drive-Thru Window

Burglar runs off empty handed in Monday incident

The on Fischer Boulevard was broken into shortly after closing last night, in a burglary police said netted no proceeds for the suspects who entered through the drive-thru window.

Chief Michael Mastronardy said the suspect, or suspects, got inside by climbing in from the eatery’s drive-thru window, which set off an alarm around midnight Monday morning.

Once inside, the suspect attempted to find cash and threw the registers on the floor, Mastronardy said, but they made off with little to no proceeds.

The shop, which is a standalone facility at 911 Fischer Blvd. and Hazelwood Drive had closed for the day at 11 p.m. and was empty at the time of the incident. The drive-thru window is at the back of the site, which sustained little damage and was open as usual Monday.

The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information is encouraged to call police headquarters at 732-349-0150.
