Page was considered the primary suspect in. The victim, Noah Jackson, 37, was stabbed three times near checkout lanes 1 and 3 at the store shortly before noon. He was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center after the incident, Berkeley Township Police Chief Karin DiMichele said yesterday.

"He has severe injuries, but he is stable," DiMichele said of Jackson yesterday. "The wounds went down to the bone."

DiMichele stated that the altercation between Page and Jackson began in the store vestibule and continued into the front of the store near the checkout counters, where Jackson was stabbed, DiMichele said. Police officials do believe that Page and Jackson were acquainted with one another.

At the time of the attack, Page walked into the store wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and shorts. He was wearing only shorts when he fled the store and left in a gold 2002 Infiniti, bearing the license plate number of UYD-68X. A $500,000 warrant was also levied against Page for his arrest after the stabbing.

The Bayville ShopRite reopened at around 5 p.m. yesterday.

Any further information will be updated as it comes in.
