The 10 Most Dangerous Small Towns In New Jersey

suz October 25, 2013 at 08:33 AM
Just curious what the average annual salaries are in these areas and how many are on welfare and entitlements from (Obama) the government?
Mr. Happy October 25, 2013 at 09:05 AM
Maybe the Chief can try out the ANACHRO-CAP experiment in one of these places. How about in Proud, can we get a big boo-ya for dat??
proud October 25, 2013 at 09:19 AM
Drinking in the morn' again Mr Lackey?
Mr. Happy October 25, 2013 at 09:28 AM
Nope. Just thought my idea would ameliorate the situation, we don't want to exacerbate it, do we now?? (Learned those cool words on another thread). Have a happy day!!
Robert Yates October 25, 2013 at 09:36 AM
It would not be up to the chief to experiment with anything, but I think @Mr. Happy makes a capital suggestion otherwise. The results can't possibly be any worse than those that stem from Mr. Happy's preferred political system.
proud October 25, 2013 at 09:47 AM
I think Mr Lackey may have compromised vision from exponential exacerbation.
Nina Bloom October 25, 2013 at 12:38 PM
I severely question your scientific method, was this reviewed by an expert in statistics to see that your comparisons, exclusions and cherry picking are in any way legitimate. There is no context here and clearly a ploy at getting people to click on your link. It's fear mongering and poor journalism.
proud October 25, 2013 at 12:41 PM
Well, you didn't have to get severe about it.

'fewer than 20,000 people' not 'less than 20,000 people' smh.....
Linda Maloney October 25, 2013 at 04:36 PM
@DubbT Did your p c shut down? 'less than 20,000 people' smh....... I'm interested in reading the rest of your post.
DubbT October 25, 2013 at 04:46 PM
its as simple as the post...how do you take anyone seriously who writes for a living (Associate Editorial Director) whose first sentence of an article is grammatically incorrect?... I couldn't even read the balance of it. I choose to rely on sources of info that use the appropriate tools of the English language. My comment was really meant for Tom, really careless.. ty for your interest
Roxanne Rush Nixon October 25, 2013 at 04:57 PM
I don't know where they got this info but I live in Corbin City....and there has been any violent crimes since I have lived here ....I lived in this area all my life and never heard any such things.

@Roxanne Rush Nixon You can find this information on NJN.com or The Star Ledger online.
JC Davenport October 26, 2013 at 12:36 AM
JC Davenport October 26, 2013 at 12:35 am I would encourage all 10 municipalities/towns mentioned in this article to file a class action lawsuit against this "newspaper." It seems to be an amateur attempt to gain readership and be internet trendy as other "top ten" type pop ad/article lists go. Only this time it involves mostly poor South Jersey towns with a "filter" (based on Wikipedia) to show how dangerous it must be to even stop at a traffic light in these evil areas. Really South Jersey Newspapers? Selling out your poorest small towns for an internet boost? Not sure if your paper will be here a year from now . . . but I bet my town will be . . . and I'll bet me and my children will still be safe in Salem, New Jersey.
Mr. Happy October 26, 2013 at 08:47 AM
@JC Davenport - you may already know this, but the Newark Star Ledger picked up this story from the Patch.
Joey Joe October 26, 2013 at 09:31 AM
@Happy - OR the Patch picked up the story from the Ledger...which is probably the case.... The old "cut & paste" is used all the time by the patch...

Good old hometown news South Hackensack. Still does not justify hiring 3 new police officers. A new Chiefs police car for personal use. And the worst thing is their are no Veterans on the police force of maybe 20. Their is time for new leadership in that super high tax town.
proud October 29, 2013 at 12:07 PM
Didn't the County of Bergen have to take over the South Hackensack PD some time back?

Linda Maloney November 10, 2013 at 11:34 AM
@proud The translation doesn't make sense in English?
proud November 10, 2013 at 12:37 PM
Lo siento, mi español es un poco oxidado. Quise decir: "@ Linda Baloney, ¿alguna vez vas por una mordedura o la diversión vino de la casa? '. BTW, Te estás volviendo como el señor Lackey con la verificación de la gramática.
Linda Maloney November 10, 2013 at 12:55 PM
