Theft of Television At Walmart Thwarted By Joint Effort of Berkeley, Toms River Township Police

A Toms River man was arrested and sent to the Ocean County jail following a shoplifting incident at the Walmart store on Route 37 Saturday night.

Toms River police were reponding to the shoplifting of a 32-inch television when they were notified that a suspected vehicle had been stopped by Berkekley Township police, according to Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

Berkeley Township Police Officer Richard Bondulich, provided information by Toms River Communications, stopped a suspected vehicle on Mule Road shortly after the theft.

The television was recovered in the vehicle and police arrested Edward Burozki, 42, of Terry Lane, Toms River. He was charged with shoplfiting and placed in Ocean County Jail with bail set at $2500.
