Three People Hospitalized After Crash In Galloway

Three people were hospitalized Friday in a crash at the intersection of the White Horse Pike and Pomona Road.

At 8:12 a.m. Galloway Township Police, Andrew Weber, 21, of Clementon was driving a 2012 Ford Focus traveling westbound on Route 30 when he passed through the red traffic light at Pomona Road, police said.

Weber proceeded into the intersection and collided with a 2009 Toyota Venza driven by Robert Chiles, 84, of Galloway who was traveling northbound on Pomona Road.

Weber was issued a summons for disregarding of a traffic control device.

Weber was transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, City Division with a head injury, while Chiles and his passenger, Dorothy Chiles, 85, of Galloway, were transported to Atlanticare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Division with complaints of chest pain.

Traffic was detoured for about twenty minutes while Galloway Township Police and Stockton State College Police cleared the scene, police said.

The accident is under investigation, police said.
