Toms River Office of Emergency Management Director Paul Daley said the hurricane number was used for an emergency operations center. The center hotline was activated Sunday at 4 p.m.
That number is currently inoperable. Residents for the time being should call 732-349-0150, which is Toms River Police Headquarters.
