Toms River Home Burglaries Among Indictments

A Toms River man is accused of breaking into a house on Coolidge Avenue and stealing jewelry, in an indictment returned by an Ocean County grand jury last week.

Matthew H. Pearson, 21, of Wojtyla Court, is charged with breaking into the house on Nov. 10 and stealing jewelry from the owners.

Daniel B. Bean, 42, of Beaver Dam Road, Point Pleasant, charged with breaking into a home on Barcelona Drive in Toms River on Dec. 15.

Megan L. Crudup, 19, of Bay Avenue, Toms River, accused of breaking into an Arrow Drive home on Feb. 1, stealing jewelry worth more than $500 and dealing in the stolen jewelry.

Robert A. Polito, 53, of Pleasant Drive, Jackson, charged with breaking into a home on Mt. Carmel Road in Toms River on Nov. 22 and stealing jewelry worth less than $500.

Additional indictments handed up:

James A. Bosko, 35, of Birch Avenue, Ocean Township, accused of being an unregistered home improvement contractor and stealing more than $500 from a Beachwood homeowner by promising to install a furnace and not doing the work.

Bret M. Kohan, Gudz Road, Lakewood, 33, charged with trying to get oxycodone with a forged prescription on March 18 in Beachwood.

Matthew J. Mercuro, 26, of Laurelwyck Drive, Waretown, accused of trying to get oxycodone with a forged prescription on March 17 in Beachwood.

Stephen J. McCrea, 45, of Route 37 West, Toms River, charged with failing to get permission to change his address under Megan’s law, having a .32 caliber pistol, an expanding baton, Crossman BB rifle and marijuana in Brick on Jan. 11.

Keith D. Valencia, 24, of Binnacle Road, Brick, is charged with a Sept. 3 aggravated assault on Tracy A. Larned in Brick.
