Toms River Laundromat Robbed

Man wearing ski mask demanded money

The Wizard O Wash laundromat on Route 166 in Toms River was robbed around 9 p.m. Saturday night, police said.

A 24-year-old female employee reported to police that a male entered the store and demanded money, Chief Michael Mastronardy said.

The suspect, an approximately 20-year old-white male wearing dark jeans, a sweatshirt and a ski mask removed over $100 in cash from the cash register before fleeing on foot, said Mastronardy.

The victim was not injured in the robbery, which is being investigated by Officer Ryan Quinn, Detectives Louis Santora and Robert O’Neill and the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department.
