UPDATE: Toms River Man Arrested After Stabbing in Brick

A 19-year-old Toms River resident has been arrested and charged with aggravated assault, unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose following a fight on Sawmill Road last month.

Everton C. Kerr, age 19, was arrested and charged after an interview at the Brick Township Police Department with Detectives Michael Feeney and Robert Shepherd, police said.

The arrest followed a stabbing incident, which occurred on July 8 on Sawmill Road involving occupants of a vehicle who were attempting to leave the Maple Leaf complex.

Bail was set by Judge Robert Lepore at $100,000 with no 10% option, police said.
