Toms River Man Charged with Possession of Eight Bags of 'Money Train' Heroin

Police charge John L. Williams of Toms River with possession of a number of controlled dangerous substances following motor vehicle stop.

A man was charged with possessing and intending to distribute a number of illegal substances, including eight bags of heroin stamped "Money Train," following a motor vehicle stop by on Oct. 21.

John L. Williams, 45, of 47 Walnut St., Toms River, was charged with possession of eight bags of heroin stamped "Money Train" with the intent to distribute, third-degree offenses. Williams was also charged with possession of a bag of cocaine and intent to distribute, also third-degree offenses.

Williams was pulled over in a motor vehicle stop on Route 36,  and officers discovered he had an active child support warrant, establishing probable cause.  Arresting Officer was Ptl. Christopher Whalen and assisting officer was Cpl. Joseph Lopresti.

Williams also was charged with possessing six Percocet tablets that were not obtained directly from a practitioner or by a valid prescription issued by a practitioner. Williams was also charged with intent to distribute the Percocet.

Williams was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana, a disorderly persons offense, and intent to distribute, a crime of the fourth degree.

He also was allegedly in possession of a credit card reported lost on July 17 with intent to use the Direct Express MasterCard, a fourth-degree crime.

Bail was set at $30,000 with an initial appearance scheduled for Oct. 25.
