Man Indicted on Child Assault Charges, Possibly Fled to Mexico
Toms River man wanted after indictment on charges of physical abuse of a child, aggravated assault, and endangering the welfare of a child
Prosecutors believe a 38-year-old Toms River man has fled the country to escape charges of physical abuse of a child, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Heber Torralba, of Dumont Street in Toms River, was indicted in June by an Ocean County grand jury on charges of assault and endangerment of a minor. The alleged assault occurred on Jan. 28 at Torralba's home in Toms River.
The prosecutor's office said there was no pre-arraignment date set, as they have been unable to locate Torralba. A picture or description of Torralba was not released at this time.
