Toms River Man Indicted in Sex Assault in Manchester

Grand juries hand up indictment

A Toms River man is free on $250,000 bail and facing burglary, assault and sex assault charges after an incident Nov. 13 in Manchester.

The charges stem from the same incident in the Holly Oaks section of Manchester.

Authorities said Kinerd A. Reyes, 25, of Toms River, burglarized an Oak Lane home Nov. 13 and encountered a resident. Reyes assaulted her physically and sexually during the burglary, the indictment states.

Reyes was indicted on charges including burglary, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated sexual assault and sexual assault.

He made bail Dec. 16 and is forbidden contact with the Manchester victim as a condition of bail.

The indictment was handed up last week by grand juries in Ocean County court.
