William Thomson 3rd, 28, likely died of a drug overdose, but toxicology reports are pending, police said.

Township police were called by hospital security officers to the parking garage at about 11 p.m. after they noticed a man who they said was passed out in a vehicle, Chief Michael Mastronardy said.

They found the man's body in the back seat of the vehicle, said Mastronardy. Foul play is not suspected to have played a role in the man's death, he added.

Detective Robert O'Neill is investigating the death along with the Ocean County Sheriff’s department, Ocean County Prosecutors Office and the Medical Examiners Office.
