Toms River Police Blotter: Manhole, Drainage Pipes Stolen from Construction Site

The following list of police activity was released by Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy:

Construction site theft

Toms River Police are investigating the theft of five cast iron drainage plates and one manhole valued at more than $1,500 from a construction site at 277 Route 70. Officer Charles Grainger is investigating the theft of the plates that weighed more than 100 pounds each. and the man hole weighed more, indicting there were more than one suspects involved with the theft that occurred over the weekend.

Attempted burglary of Bob Kislin's

Officers Shan Ruiz and Michael MacDonald responded to an alarm just before 4 a.m. Saturday morning to Bob Kislin’s on Route 37.  Investigation found that unknown suspect(s) pried open the rear door but apparently did not make entry when the alarm was activated.
