Toms River Police Injured After Responding to Disturbance at Office Lounge
Officer treated for minor injuries and released
Toms River Police responded to a disturbance between four people at a Main Street bar and restaurant, and while two men left, the two who remained accosted the responding officer, resulting in charges of aggravated assault on a police officer.
Chief Michael Mastronardy said a disturbance call at t was reported at 10:30 p.m. Friday. Four men were involved, but two left before police arrived, he said.
As Officer Eric Harris was investigating, the two men were uncooperative and the situation escalated, Mastronardy said.

"Upon responding, officers learned that two of four individuals involved left prior to their arrival. While investigating the incident the other two parties involved in the disturbance became combative and disorderly and were arrested," Mastronardy said in a statement.
Anthony Tremarco, 44 of Wellington, Fla. was charged with being a disorderly person. Joseph Tremarco, 49 of Sarasota, Fla. was charged with aggravated assault on a police officer.

Officer Harris suffered a minor hand injury as a result of disturbance and arrest, and was treated and released from, Mastronardy said.
Also assisting in the arrest were Officers Steve Eubanks and Rich Buhowski.
The other two individuals in the original disturbance call were not located.
