Toms River Police Investigating Burglaries

Toms River police are investigating two recent burglaries, Chief Michael Mastronardy said.

Officer Ted Malony is investigating an attempted residential burglary that occurred on Mulberry Place between noon and 5:30p.m. on Monday, the chief said. In that incident, an unknown person or persons attempted to make entry to the home, but were unsuccessful in breaking the front door handle.

Meanwhile, Officer Scott Duncan is investigating a burglary to a home on Maple Street that occurred over the last few days. A family member reported that someone broke into a home by entering a rear window and removing  a silver flip watch and jewelry valued at $100, said Mastronardy.
