Toms River police are looking for a man who stole a Keurig coffee maker from the Sears store in the Ocean County Mall on Thursday morning.

Two loss prevention officers attempted to detain the suspect pictured in the surveillance photos attached to this story, however he fled the store and entered his car, said police spokesman Ralph Stocco.

The suspect then put the car in reverse and struck one of the officers and knocked him to the ground, Stocco said.

The vehicle is possibly a white car that had a black panel at the back fender area.  It may have been a Honda Civic or Toyota Scion, according to police.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid to late 20s and approximately 5’7 to 5’10.  At the time of the incident he was wearing tan pants, a black hoodie jacket with a white zipper and trim, and a baseball hat with a logo on the front.

Anyone with information can contact Detective Thomas Grosse at 732-349-0150, extension 1263 or message the Toms River Police Department on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/tomsriverpolice.

when this loser is living in ocean county jail soon.. he should do some reading about north korea then he'll realize how lucky he is to be an American... google north korea execution vans, its the truth, their law...details are intense and sick ..used for not just murder but rape, theft, hate speech... i'll leave the details about said vans out... Look for yourself... also i'm in no way advocating this young man deserved north korea treatment , but our jails don't seem to have success as "correctional institutes" since %78 of all inmates return atleast once in their lifetime in NJ. WARNING there are some horrific videos regarding the North Korea authorities and their evil vans, do not allow children to watch
