Toms River Subway Store Robbed

Robbery occurred at about 6:45 p.m. Thursday

Toms River police are investigating a robbery of the Subway sandwich shop at 910 Hooper Avenue that occurred Thursday night.

A man wearing a ski mask entered the store at about 6:45 p.m. and demanded money. There were no injuries, and about $100 cash was taken, according to Police Chief Michael Mastronardy.

The man was described as a white male, about 25 years old weighing 160 pounds, 5'8” with a ski mask and a black hoodie. He may have been joined by another suspect, a full description of whom was not available. Both potential suspects were wearing black jackets and one was wearing khaki pants, Mastronardy said.

The suspects were last seen running toward the Jamestown apartments, Mastronardy said.
