Traffic Alert: Weekend Detour for Church Road at Parkway Overpass
Closure necessary for Garden State Parkway construction
A detour will be in place this weekend on Church Road for Garden State Parkway roadwork, officials announced.
Church Road will be closed at North Bay from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, July 13 and 14. Police officers will man posts along the detour route to assist with traffic, according to Toms River officials.
The closure is necessary so construction crews can demolish the older northbound Garden State Parkway bridge there, officials said.

Church Road from New Hampshire to Todd Road will be open to allow access to homes and St. Andrews Church, officials said.
