Two Men Charged With Burglarizing Barrier Island Home In Toms River

Two people were charged Sunday in connection with a burglary on the barrier island section of Toms River, police said.

Kyle Lang, 18, from Zieglers Lane in Hamilton and Christopher Naro, 18, Downing Road in Hamilton are being held in the Ocean County Jail on $10,000 bail each. 

At  2:47 p.m., police units were alerted by a diligent citizen to a suspicious vehicle at the end of West Bayview Drive.  Upon arrival they located two men near a 2007 Suzuki KL7 at the 300 Block of West Bayview Drive.

They were loading a bucket into the vehicle.  Readily observable through the cars window were numerous pieces of copper. 

The investigation determined that the men had entered two homes on the 300 block of the street by climbing through a window and removing copper pipes, copper wire, crab traps, metal sewer caps, and a ladder.

They were placed under arrest by Patrolman Daniel Schmitz and charged with burglary and theft.
