The man was described as wearing all dark clothing and a hooded sweatshirt.  Upon arrival, the officers were advised that the subject had left the area of the residence, met up with another male subject and left the area with him.

Shortly thereafter, Ptl. Thomas Caulfield observed two male subjects exiting the driveway of 275 Drum Point Road. One of the subjects matched the description of the subject that was originally observed on Elm Lane, police said.

Sgt. John Talty, and Patrolmen Scott Smith, Dave Thergesen, and Joseph Lardieri arrived on scene to assist.

After speaking with the resident of 275 Drum Point Rd., it was determined that the subjects were not licensed or privileged to be on the property.  The subjects were then placed into custody, police said.

Officers then began checking the area where they located a black Honda Civic that was parked at the corner of Elm Court, and Elm Lane. The owner of this vehicle could not be identified, and the vehicle was subsequently towed from the scene.

Shortly thereafter, the staff of Robinson’s Garage contacted Brick Police Headquarters to report the theft of the Honda, and a burglary to the garage itself.  Detective Daniel Waleski of the Brick Township Police Detective Bureau responded and took over the investigation.

With the help of Ptl. Louis Valanzola, and Detective George Waldhelm, Det. Waleski was able to develop information linking King and Cetinich as suspects in both the theft of the Honda and the burglary and theft of Robinson’s garage.

Approximately $15,000.00 to $20,000.00 in tools were taken from the garage.  Officers then conducted another check of the neighborhood and were able to locate the stolen tools and other items behind a residence located on Elm Court.

Bail was set by the Judge Robert Lepore at $50,000.00 with no option to post ten percent.  Additional charges are pending after review of the case by the Ocean County Prosecutors Office.
