Two Teens Charged With Entering Unlocked Vehicles
Police recovered 25 gift cards and other items reported stolen
Two Toms River teens were charged with multiple counts of entering unlocked vehicles after police responded to a suspicious persons report.
Officer Chris Mcdowell arrested a 17-year-old and Jeffrey Madera, 19, of Chatham Drive, charging the two with entering unlocked vehicles, said Chief Michael Mastronardy.
Officer Mcdowell and Officer Vincent Pedalino responded at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to Fairview Drive in reference to suspicious males. The officers recovered 25 gift cards, a cell phone, a necklace and AMC movie tickets, Mastronardy said.

Madera was held on $10,000 bail and the juvenile was placed in the Ocean County Juvenile Detention Center in Toms River. Detective Chris Fluck is investigating other charges against the juvenile including a residential burglary to a residence on where a safe was removed and later recovered by police.
