VIDEO: Local Residents React to Bank Robbery

Toms River residents and business owner react to Thursday afternoon bank robbery at Wells Fargo on Hooper Avenue in the Silverton section of the area.

After a bank robbery and one previously on Toms River Patch asked some local residents and business owners on their perception of the neighborhood in light of the recent crime.

A Wells Fargo bank, located at 1853 Hooper Ave., was robbed mid-afternoon on Thursday. 

Toms River Police Chief Michael Mastronardy said the suspect is a white male, approximately 5’8” with a thin build and possibly in his 20s. Mastronardy said the man entered the bank, passed the teller a note and fled on foot toward the rear of the bank.
