Water Rescue Drill Planned for Metedeconk River Tonight

Drill will take place off Windward Beach

Don't be alarmed if you see a Coast Guard helicopter hovering above Brick tonight, along with a slew of rescue boats in the Metedeconk.

Brick Township's Laurelton Fire Company will be leading a water rescue drill in the river, off , starting Thursday around 7 p.m., said District 2 Fire Commissioner Joseph J. Pawlowicz, Jr.

Brick Township firefighters and EMTs will be joined by other local agencies as well as the U.S. Coast Guard in the drill, which will simulate a boat accident in which victims must be rescued from the water.

A Coast Guard helicopter is set to land at Windward Beach around 6 p.m., fire officials said, with the drill beginning close to 7 p.m.

Why not invade F Cove instead?

Hey, they've got all the gear. A practice drill is necessary to keep everyone sharp for the infrequent incidents to which they must respond. With regard to invading the F-Cove, don't give them any ideas... We've already got our hands full with US Fish and Wildlife ;) If you want to keep up on the F-Cove, go to www.thefcove.com

It only takes one time for something to happen and not be prepared and then you would be writing how they didn't know what to do, you really need to grown up and find something constructive to do with yourself, How about Volunteering instead of just running your mouth negatively!
