A New FEMA Center Offers Relief

A Disaster Recovery Center is opening in Linden and is available to Woodbridge residents who need help on claims from Hurricane Sandy

Another FEMA Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) is opening nearby to help Woodbridge and area residents who suffered losses from Hurricane Sandy.

The new FEMA DRC will open 2 pm in Linden on Thursday at the Gregorio Center at 330 Helen Street. The center's hours will be from 9 am to 7 pm, seven days a week, to help Sandy victims fill out paperwork and get the help they need.

Even though the DRC is right over the border in Union County, it's open to anyone in New Jersey who suffered hurricane damage. Disaster recovery specialists from various local, state and federal agencies will be at the center to assist individuals and answer questions regarding disaster assistance.

For more information on FEMA, go to their online site, or call 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
