Christie Makes Good On Promise, Comes Back To Seaside

Seven months after a fire destroyed much of the Seaside Heights and Seaside Park Boardwalk, Gov. Chris Christie made good on his promise.

He came back.

Appearing Friday, Christie also called on "working together" and ensuring a successful tourism season now that the Seaside Heights boardwalk has been mostly fixed.

"I'm going to be down here so much, you people are going to be tired of me," he said.  "I'll try not to get into any fights on the boardwalk."

He said that Sandy relief money helped pay for fixing the boardwalk because "it is my belief" that the hurricane floodwaters contributed to the blaze that destroyed businesses and much of the boardwalk itself.

Investigators have said that salt water mixing with the underpinnings and electrical work of the boardwalk, and the ensuing corrosion, could have contributed to the cause of the fire.

Christie doesn't seem to understand , you cannot run NJ on property taxes alone. There are other sources of revenue but he refuses to enter into those conversations. Good luck Steve!

Always an excuse - "the fire caused by the flood." Yeah? Did they tell their insurance company that one? Did they get insurance money? Big pockets. If the electrical was repaired right the first time the corroded area (if that was true, which i'd bet the GW bridge on that it isn't) would have been found. Did they check under the boardwalk for all businesses? CC is going to places where he would get the most votes if he runs for president. This, & CC, are so tiring. So much red tape to get a little money to repair a house. All I say, & hope, is KARMA for CC. His lies & bullying are going to come back to him. If he thinks he can handle it, the karma will affect someone he loves in some way, and he's aiming for a big return if bad karma.
