Congressman Runyan Holding Housing Expo for Foreclosure Victims

Expo aims to give residents options to foreclosing on their homes

Each day thousands of New Jersey families face the real possibility of their homes being foreclosed upon.  According to RealtyTrac.com, 1 in every 1,876 housing units in Ocean County received a foreclosure filing in May 2012. Many families are unaware of their options. They lack a complete understanding of how the foreclosure process works, and what resources are available to assist families in making informed decisions.

Congressman Jon Runyan is holding a housing expo to help residents gain a better understanding of their options, as well as what resources are available through private lenders and the federal government to assist them. The symposium will take place on Saturday July 21 at Ocean County College in Toms River from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Representatives from several federal, state, and local agencies will be in attendance, along with loan servicers, and housing counseling agencies.

If you, or someone you know, is facing foreclosure or needs assistance in gaining a better understanding of the process, and resources that may be available to assist, please join.  For more information you may also visit the Congressman's website www.Runyan.House.Gov or contact him at his Ocean County office at (732)-279-6013.
