Council Meeting Scheduled for 5 p.m. Today

Township Council is meeting at 5 p.m. at Town Hall

Township Council is holding a public meeting today at 5 p.m. in Town Hall -- the first after Superstorm Sandy left thousands of residents without power and floods ravaged homes in many coastal neighborhoods.

The meeting's agenda does not formally mention emergency management, efforts to restore power, aiding displaced residents, or other factors regarding the response to the storm.  However, a portion of the meeting is devoted to comments from council members and the public.

A liquor license transfer, a shared engineering services agreement with Manchester for a commercial development, the purchase of a backhoe, and snow plowing contracts are among the subjects listed on today's agenda.
