According to the township, to reserve one of the public facilities, including fields and picnic sites, log on to http://register.communitypass.net/tomsriver.

The township website says the service began Feb. 28. You can currently use the site to also register for recreation activities and programs such as weekly adult yoga sessions.

Anyone can register a field, however the town will use a two-week grace period to approve any requests. "We hope this might help settle arguments over who has which field," Eric J. Schubiger, director of the town's Recreation Department, said at the January meeting of the Recreation Commission.

For assistance, call the recreation department at 732-341-1000 ext 8415.
