Officials Announce New Ortley Beach Re-entry Details

Officials in Toms River have announced an update to the Ortley Beach re-entry plan. 

Using their own vehicle as transportation, residents will be allowed access to their properties on certain dates depending on where they live through Dec. 7, according to the latest information released on the Toms River municipal website. 

Officials have divided Ortley Beach into three sections — West, Middle and East — and a resident's property location dictates when they are able to enter the battered barrier island section to winterize homes and meet with insurance adjusters.
