President Obama's Eligibility Challenged

Two men who are Monmouth and Ocean county residents are challenging President Barack Obama's placement on the state's primary ballot.

Two men who are Monmouth and Ocean county residents are challenging President Barack Obama's place on the state's primary ballot, according to the Bayshore Tea Party Group.

Nick Purpura of Wall Township has filed a challenge, along with Ocean County resident Ted Moran, alleging that Obama has never shown adequate proof that he was born in the United States - despite the release of a longform birth certificate by the White House in April of 2011.

They also claim that his father was never a citizen of the United States, meaning Obama is not a natural born citizen, at least according to their interpretation of the Constitution.

The challenge will be heard by an administrative law judge Tuesday at the Administrative Law Offices in Quakerbridge and the Bayshore Group has asked those interested in attending to consider carpooling - a cost effective and environmentally friendly mode of travel.

The primary election is scheduled for June 5.

The petition, which was uploaded to the the document-sharing site Scribd, cites sources that include World Net Daily, Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the controversial elected sheriff of Maricopa County, Az., and videos posted on YouTube as evidence why Obama may not be eligible to be this country's president.

From the petition:

"Candidate Obama has not conclusively proven his identity and he is perpetrating a fraud upon Objector Purpora (sic) and Moran by not revealing his true identity which is harmful to their rights as voters and citizens. The objection to Candidate Obama's nominating petition is twofold. We first allege that he has not conclusively proven that he was born in the United States. We also allege that even if he was born in the United States, he is still not an Article II "natural born Citizen" because he fails to meet the requirements of the traditional American common law definition of the clue which is a child born in the country to two U.S. citizen parents."

Bush was a proxy businessman, Romney by all accounts was/is a workaholic. Obama simply worries about the next vacation locale and could care less about the cost of that excursion to the taxpayer.
Gene April 19, 2012 at 12:55 AM
Try giving Obama a filibuster- proof majority in the Senate and a majority in the house this time and GOOD things will get done. Otherwise,it's back to trickle down failures that never worked except for the temporary bubble economy that hurt everyone except for the 1%. Oh yeah, change the channel away from Faux News.

Cr....the fundamental point you miss is that government is not a corporate entity. Sometimes you have to subsidize functions that seem not to have any credibility so that they can function during times of duress or other need. Corporate management has a tendency to bottom line every governmental function and when crisis does occur .....schazamm......Katrina and New Orleans. You can take Romneys and other corporate types and put them into government ....you can have a period of minimal cost and shrinking taxes....but watch out when you really need the government to act as a temporary backbone. Roosevelt was right and Hoover was wrong. I went to college too....business degree Villanova and have run my own business for 30 years.
mike westman April 19, 2012 at 02:19 PM
Cr......maybe your corporate vision does not correlate with what is really happening in the American/Western economy....the last vestiges of the WW2 management are slowly falling by the wayside and you can hear the implosion of the now archaic business as they vanish. Many see their own doom as it unfolds in front of them....if we do not adapt to a more fluid economic world then we will become the Europe of the 1990's. Our powerful....and archaic....energy and monolithic industries are the victim...and ultimately the villain in making this economy go....the government is simply a facilitator. When your buddies stop any kind of progress...then the machine will grind to a halt and your vision will come true. Is that what you want?

He had a filibuster proof house and senate when he took office. What did it get us 15 trillion in debt company's closing their doors and unemployment closer to 20% than eight? Then we have goof balls like you that think he can walk on water. You better get your head out of the sand and look what he is doing to our country and your freedoms as well as mine will be gone forever.I served this country during Vietnam and I'll tell you this I never took an oath to any president I took an oath to protect the constitution of this country.President Obama had a chance to make a real difference instead he served his on intrest and left the rest of us to flownder. He has saddled us with a health care bill that has crippled my company and many others. If the supreme court doesn't strike that law down we are screwed to put it mildly.Nothing good has come from Obama as of yet I think the best would be when he leaves the white house that would bless us all.

It seems our financial guys are trained and able to do nothing but speculate...silver, property, oil...etc.....without bubbles they have no ability. Woe the deregulation of the banks and securities firms.....what good has it done?

CR: the problem with your argument: that Obama cannot run on his record is that almost every time he proposes or looks to enact some policy. . .the Republicans obstruct! This is a fact of their own doing. . .and the Democrats are going to exploit it for all they can? Let me say that I'll not exactly an Obama supporter...just pointing out arguments that refute your rhetorical assertions. I think that Romney is a lack luster candidate for President. Unfortunately I know what we have and Romney's presentation(demeanor) doesn't make me feel secure. He reminds me of a "snake oil" salesman. . .or the preacher "Elmer Gantry" in Sinclair Lewis's novel. This guy is all over the map. . .he'll say anything for a vote. Has no character. . .sorry to say it. Kind of caught between a rock and a hard place. . .not lifted by Obama's past performance. . .but what are the Republicans offering...Romney. . .PLEASE!

ChataFergie You know we really get tired of this crap. The blacks them selves are the biggest racist in the country. It's easier to blame everything on race than to face facts. They have learned this blame thing from the best he sits in the white house.Oblamer is a master at that I guess it's good to be good at something.

Wow, with exception of a few has anyone commenting here read Article 2, sec 1, Clause 5 of the Constutution? Maybe I need to be more specific, the U S Constitution! You naysayers are astoundingly ignorant of any facts, lack any level of curiosity as to the hundreds of holes and anomalies that exist in this mans past, and are willing to give a pass to someone who holds the highest office in the world, on things you each individually must posess to function in this country, in your everyday activities if you are a member society! Perhaps that is the issue, you are all just as phony as he is!
CR April 20, 2012 at 02:48 AM
Spooner: Sensible retort. I agree that Romney may be a bit... okay, a lot eccentric, but I truly believe in his abilities as an accomplished economist. I have studied some of Romney's tactics and to call him clever would be selling him well short. We need someone who is clever. We need someone who is shrewd. Obama is neither- sorry to be cliche, but he truly personafies the "empty suit". He is simply in way over his head, as I don't think the POTUS can be played by some junior senator community organizer who gives a good speech. I also doubt him as an intellectual, as I've worked with too many.
CR April 20, 2012 at 02:55 AM
Whether there is any validity to any of this is a moot point now. Focus your energies on this November and help send him packing. You'll drive yourself crazy otherwise.

It's truly amazing how many people refuse to do any REAL research regarding Obama's birth certificate. Their lack of basic/simple Hawain law. First, the origional BC belongs to Hawaii. It has been observed, looked at by many. The document that Nr Obana is a certified copy, even with a raised seal, just what many states send out when one wants a copy. It's not a question of producing the original, Obama can't because it's not his and HAWAIAN law won't allow it. The republican governor Lingle has attested to the authenticity of tbe BC many times. The whole story of the step-grandmother was a farce. Check with the McClstchy newspaper chain (and they are not a bastion for liberal thinkers). As for Ms Yoss, since he is a natural born citizen, the only hole is the one in your head. Its your misguided interpretation of the Constitution the muddles the few brain cells you have. Maybe it's you who are the phony..
Gene April 20, 2012 at 03:15 AM
To Bill Box.... First of all, there is no such thing as a filibuster in the house. 2nd of all,in the record setting Republican filibuster Senate, two faced Lieberman is an independent who backed that loser John McCain. Republican Senator Brown also replaced Ted Kennedy in Ma. So as you can see,it was not filibuster proof. The debt you're talking about was from 2 unfunded wars and an unfunded prescription drug plan that was never put on the books under that former Pres.George W. Bush. Thank you for your service in Vietnam. You could never say that about Ted Nugent who was a defermement queen. Also, your party of NO has never come up with their own medical plan(except for Romneycare). If the Affordable Care Act gets overturned by our fascist leaning Supreme Court, (who by the way screwed us all by the Citizen's United ruling), anyone who now has a child between 22 and 26 on their insurance plan will find them uninsured. Also kids under 19 with pre-existing conditions may be uninsurable. Like I said before, change the channel so you can start looking up the real facts.
Mike Ritter April 20, 2012 at 03:24 AM
To Bill Box- Obama never had a filibuster proof congress. You better do some homework. There were 58 dem senators with 2 independents. Of those 58, Kennedy and Byrd missed a lot of time due to illness. Then we have to consider the "blue dog" senators such as Max Baucus (and about 3-4 others). Now let us not forget Lieberman, a man who supported McShame. Your ignorance concerning the national debt is pretty bad. How did he do it, since much the spending was already earmarked before he took office. Face facts, much of the increase is related to: huge tax cuts, Part D of Medicare, 2 wars, all paid with BORROWED money. Oh, and for unemployment, let's see: when he took office we were losing jobs at the rate of upwards 700,000 per month, worse financial crisis since the depression (and a recession like we've never had before). To many people here are myopic and revisionists. As for the health plan, I own a business that employees about 100 people and the health plan has not hindered me 1 bit. I'm all in favor of making people pay for their own health plan, just like they pay for car and homeowners insurance. Or go to a single payer like Medicare, and if you want more coverage you pay for it. By the way, no one is forced to buy a plan, and the max fine for an individual is $695. I don't like paying for all the deadbeats who can afford health insurance, refuse to get it, then go to the emergency room.
Gene April 20, 2012 at 03:28 AM
To CR... If you think that driving companies into bankruptcy after raiding all of it's assets is an accomplished economist, think again. How about all of the working families that he abandoned by sending other companies overseas? Yeah, he's clever alright! Clever enough to pay under 15% tax and keep his other money in untaxable offshore accounts while the rest of us workers pay our taxes by a different set of rules.
Mike Ritter April 20, 2012 at 03:30 AM
Dan Allen, it's amazing what people believe. First, Obama is the legitimate president. Second, it's only but cases and paranoid peoe who think the certified copy of the BC is forged. The original is sitting right there in HI. Many people have seen it. You just can't bring yourself to admit you're wrong. The only reason the BC looms like its been photoshopped is because the OCR software putting it to PDF form. But as long as clowns like the Anti-American Sherrif Joe (whose trying to shift focus on his illegal acts) out there storing the pot, the nut cases will look to anything that they can pander to the ignorant..
Gene April 21, 2012 at 12:13 AM
Cr.... Myopic? that's a great 75cent word that a lot of Republican's use in their empty arguments. If you think dems are shortsighted, then in fact you are a myopic oaf who is obtuse and who loves to obfuscate reality. You must be looking for a plutocracy that Va-Mitt Romney would be able to manage through his oligarch Supreme court appointees. This would make his super pac supporters happy while the rich get richer. So much for that wasted MBA and your big word. Change the channel, take a couple aspirin, and call Limbaugh in the morning

I love a conspiracy but there at least has to be something remotely valid go conspire on. These guys are beyond rationality and into some myoposphere that only creates cynical humor and derision from the other side

How much of that was 2 unfunded wars,an unfunded tax cut,and an unpaid for medicare part D prescription plan that Bush left off the budget. Obama was man enough to put them on the budget so all could see. Now you blame him? Do your homewok before you spread false information.

Not to mention Romney picked a liar as a running mate. Ryan told all the stimulus did not work and did not create any jobs. Now we find out he did get stimulus money and it did create jobs in his home state. Not to mention this clown had no problem voting to add to the national debt when Bush was in office Obama gets in and then he changes his stripes. One last thing when he was asked to run with Romney of OBROMNEY CARE he went back to check his taxes and oh darn he and his wife also a Washington insider (she was a big lobbyist) forgot what about 60grand in income. I am sure all posting here have forgot 60grand of income at one time or another..
Martin August 24, 2012 at 10:28 PM
Lyin' Ryan said the stimulus didn't create any jobs. Now he admits he got stimulus money and it did create jobs in his own state. Lyin' Ryan voted to add to the national debt when Bush was in office, but under Obama he changes his story. Lyin' Ryan was asked to run with Romney, checked his past tax returns and discovered that he and his lobbyist wife (another career Washington insider like him) forgot about $60,000 in income. He's a perfect match for story-changer, flip-flopper Romney.
